Breast Pumps Through Insurance

Getting a breast pump shouldn’t be stressful. At HME, we help you take advantage of insurance benefits with simple, local service and no hidden steps.

What to expect:

  • We’ll verify your insurance and walk you through your purchase or rental options

  • Choose from leading brands—manual and electric pumps available

  • A prescription is required to bill your insurance (available from your OB provider)
  • Most orders are ready for pickup in 1–2 business days

    • Please note, patients must be discharged from the hospital to receive their pump.

Our staff will handle the paperwork and ensure you leave with a breast pump that fits your needs and lifestyle.

Insurance & Prescription Information

We know insurance can be confusing—but you don’t have to figure it out alone. HME offers insurance billing for breast pumps and select maternity products, depending on your provider and diagnosis.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Breast pumps are typically covered under most insurance plans with a prescription

  • A prescription is required for insurance billing, but not for retail purchases

    • Important Note: Due to insurance regulations, we are unable to offer retail sales to patients covered by Medicaid. We’re happy to help you explore other options or coordinate with your provider as needed.

  • Compression garments and support items may be partially or fully covered, depending on your medical need and plan

  • Our team will verify benefits and submit paperwork on your behalf

We make the process seamless, so you can focus on what matters most—preparing for and caring for your baby.
