Common Home Modification Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Many insurances do not cover home accessibility modifications. However, we work with alternative funding sources like IRIS and Lakeland Care (among others) and will coordinate with your provider or case manager when eligible. Our experienced staff can help answer any questions you may have.
What does a typical project cost?
Prices vary by solution, but we always strive to keep things affordable — and offer rental options for stair lifts and ramps. Many families are surprised at how cost-effective home modifications can be compared to assisted living.
Can I try out equipment before I decide?
Yes! We encourage you to visit one of our locations to see how equipment works and find the right fit for your space and mobility needs.
Who will install and service my equipment?
HME Home Medical offers installation by our in-house team of certified installers. We are proud to stand by our work and service everything we sell.

We offer flexible rental terms for select stair lifts and ramps:
3-month minimum rental for stair lifts (Ramps can be rented month-to-month.)
